The ? is a rare item in Darkwood.

On the Night Event known as the Banshee Nest, a non-hostile Banshee will be waiting for the player either inside or in close vicinity of the Hideout, surrounded by a red glow. When approached, it will scream and vanish leaving behind an item labeled as "?" in what appears to be a nest. Its icon and ground animation suggest that it may be a Banshee fetus.

If "?" is eaten it gives temporary health regeneration, when cooked it grants 25 essence.
