Floor Gore is an inky red mass that pursues the Protagonist if he is outside of a Hideout with a lit Oven during the night. It will not stop at any obstacle, always taking the straightest path possible.

The gas that fills the Hideouts when the Oven is lit seems to repel the Floor Gore, causing it to give up pursuit.

Floor Gore likely respresents the highly concentrated spores released by the Being during the night. These spores are also released during the day, but at the night this activity increases greatly. The concentration of spores at night is fatal to anyone who is not acclimatised to the woods.

Strategy

The Floor Gore moves at a very fast speed, though its turning speed is slow. As such, it can be dodged in the short term, but cannot be outrun for long periods of time. It is recommended to be close to a Hideout when nearing nightfall.

It will mercilessly attack the Protagonist, rapidly draining health until the Protagonist dies. A grainy visual effect will slowly worsen the closer to death he is.

• The Floor Gore may have been inspired by the Grue.
