Hideout 1 is a major location in Darkwood.
The hideout has four separate rooms in total, with several pieces of furniture and accessories in them. They can be used innovatively to block doors and open pathways, and to store items for later use. A small shack housing the hideout's Generator is also present, but unsecure, sicne one of its walls is broken down.
A locked stash can be found at the back of the house, containing, among other things, two Shotgun Shells, a 9V Battery, a can of Gasoline, and an Exploding Barrel. The key to this stash can be found on the Underground Entrance.
The smaller room next to the entrance is easy to defend due to its small size.
The large wardrobe can serve both as a storage locker for items as well as an invaluable barricade to block off open doorways.
- Prior to Alpha 6.0, Worms would appear in this hideout. They are now introduced to the player further along the way.
- The Hideout used to feature a "very trippy" glitch on its bed, which was fixed in Alpha 1.1. The devs stated that it could be re-added as an intentional feature in the future.
- The container behind the house used to be code-locked. There were no known means of getting its code within the game. This changed on Alpha 10.
