The Shotgun shells is a shotgun ammo in Darkwood. It enables the "Reload" action for any currently equipped reloadable shotgun and allows the firearm to be functional again after expending all shells.

Obtaining[]

Looting[]

Shotgun shells are rather rare loot, only found in random locked Crates in the wilderness or certain furniture in buildings.

Buying[]

One unit of Shotgun shells can be readily bought from the Trader or The Three in the morning for 40 Reputation. Due to the high damage output shotguns have, it is recommended to always buy Shotgun shells whenever possible considering how rare they are to scavenge.

Usage[]

Reloading[]

Shotgun shells can only be loaded in reloadable shotguns, such as the Single shot shotgun, the Double barrel shotgun and the Pump action shotgun, all of which deal exactly the same damage each shot.

Selling[]

Shotgun shells have a value of 20 per unit, so they are worth selling in case the player has no intention of using them. The vendors who buy ammo are the Trader, The Three and especially Wolfman.

Trivia[]

  • In a promotional video, an older version of the Shotgun shell's icon can be seen. It shows three shells lined up in a vertical position.[1]
  • In early Alpha versions, this item used to be called "Shotgun shell" in singular form without the 's' at the end.
  • Before the release of the Trader, this ammo was twice as valuable and cost 80 Reputation when bought from Wolfman.
